The engagement was announced 19 July, 2024, between Jack Chaplin (born 1995), scion of the Viscounts Chaplin, youngest son of Mervyn Henry Chaplin (born 1 March, 1958), of East Carlton, Leicestershire, and his wife the former Nicola E. Copeman, & Tamara Mary-Ann Rowan Hamilton (born 17 August, 1995), scion of that Irish landed gentry family, daughter of Hamish Rowan Hamilton (born 5 May, 1961), of Somerset, and Mrs Venetia Rowan Hamilton (nee Carter, born 1961), of Hertfordshire.
