Sir John Pound, 5th Baronet, died 23 August, 2022. He was 75.
John David Pound was born 1 November, 1946, the son of Sir Derek Allen Pound, 4th Baronet (1920-1980), and his wife the former Joan Amy Woodthorpe (1922-2015), and succeeded to the baronetcy on his father's demise, 23 December, 1980.
The baronetcy was created in 1905 for Sir John Pound, Lord Mayor of London, 1904-05.
The 5th baronet was twice married, firstly, 20 July, 1968 (div 1978), to Heather Frances O'Brien Dean; married 2ndly, 1978, Penelope Anne Rayden, and had issue from both marriages. With his first wife he had a son, Robert, and with his second wife he had two sons, Christopher and Nicholas. The eldest son, Robert John Pound, born 12 February, 1973, succeeds to the baronetcy.
