Lady Slade, who died 4 May, 2023, aged 86, was the widow of Sir Christopher Slade, PC, a Lord Justice of Appeal.
Lady Slade was of Armstrong-Jones descent and a cousin of the late 1st Earl of Snowdon, GCVO.
Jane Gwenllian Armstrong Buckley was born 22 May, 1936, the eldest daughter of the Rt Hon Sir Denys Burton Buckley, MBE (1906-1998), and his wife the former Gwendolen Jane Armstrong-Jones (1905-1985); and married 30 December, 1958, Sir Christopher John Slade (born 2 June, 1927), son of George Slade (1899-1942), and his wife the former Mary Albina Alice Carnegie (1896-1988), by whom she had issue, a son, Richard (born 12 July, 1963), and three daughters, Lucinda (b 15 Nov, 1959), Victoria (b 15 Jan, 1962), and Amelia (b 4 Oct, 1966). Her husband died 7 February, 2022.
