Judith Averil Buxton, who died 17 June, 2021, aged 93, was a scion of the Barons Colgrain, a granddaughter of the 1st Baron [1866-1954].
She was born Judith Averil Campbell, 12 November, 1927, daughter of the Hon Angus Dudley Campbell [1895-1967], and his wife the former Joan Esther Sybilla Pakenham [died 1998], scion of the Earls of Longford; and married 16 Dec, 1954, Lieutenant Commander Gerard St John Roden Buxton, RN [1927-2008], scion of the Buxton baronets, by whom she had issue, a son, Sir Crispin Charles Gerard Buxton, 8th Baronet [born 29 March, 1958], and two daughters, Charlotte [born 25 Sept, 1955], and Laura [born 31 Oct, 1961].
Her son succeeded to the Buxton baronetcy on the demise of his uncle, Sir Jocelyn Buxton, 7th Bt, 25 Apr, 2014.
