The engagement has been announced between Michael Patrick Beaumont [born 1991], scion of the Viscounts Allendale, son of the Hon Hubert Wentworth Beaumont [born 1956], by his former wife the former Katharine Emma Abel Smith [born 11 March 1961], scion of that landed family, and Alice Emily Holborow [b 1992].
Michael Beaumont is a descendant of Queen Victoria. His grandfather Colonel Richard Frances Abel Smith [1933-2004] was a grandson of Princess Alice, Countess of Athlone [1883-1981], who was a granddaughter of HM Queen Victoria.
