_. Professor Roger Stanley Williams, CBE, MD, FRCP, FRCS, who died 26 July, 2020, aged 88, was professor of Hepatology, University of London, Director Institute of Hepatology, University College London Medical School, and Hon Consultant Physician, University College Hospital NHS Trust, &c.

He was born 28 Aug, 1931, son of Stanley George Williams, by his wife the former Doris Dagmar Clatworthy. Married 1stly, 1954 [div 1977] Lindsay Mary Elliott, 2 sons, 3 daughters; married 2ndly, 1978, Stephanie Gay de Laszlo [born 1945], daughter of Group Capt Patrick David de Laszlo [1909-1980], by his wife the former Hon Deborah Hamar Greenwood [1917-80], daughter of the 1st Viscount Greenwood [1870-1948], by whom he had one son and two daughters.

Katherine, Lady Davson [died 2020]

_. Katherine, Lady Davson, who died 26 July, 2020, aged 82, was the second wife and widow of Capt Sir Christopher Michael Edward Davson, 3rd Baronet [1927-2004], late the Welsh Guards.

She was the former Katherine [Kate] Foster, daughter of Ludovic Anthony Foster [1908-1990], of Greatham Manor, Pulborough, Sussex, by his wife the former Pamela Margaret Wilberforce [1909-97], scion of that landed gentry family. She was a granddaughter of Samuel Wilberforce [1874-1954], by his wife the former Katharine Sheepshanks [1881-1963], of that landed family, &c.

She married Sir Christopher Davson, as his second wife, in 1975. Her husband died 21 December, 2004. The marriage was childless.

Lady Davson's step-son is Sir George Davson, 4th Baronet.

Vita Knight Bruce's maternal grandfather, Graeme Finlay, Conservative MP for Epping 1951-64, was created a baronet in 1964, one of the last such creations [followed by Denis Thatcher over 25 years later].

 _. The Hon Mary Daniell [nee Rodd], who died 15 July, 2020, aged 88, was a scion of the Barons Rennell.

She was born 5 February, 1932, daughter of the Hon Francis James Rennell Rodd [1895-1978], by his wife the former Hon Mary Constance Vivian Smith [1901-1981], daughter of the 1st Baron Bicester [1867-1956]. Her father succeeded as 2nd Baron Rennell, 26 July, 1941.

She married firstly, 13 Nov, 1954 [div 1985] Michael William Langan Dunne [born 1928]; married secondly, in 1985, Christopher Bridges Daniell [1929-2012].

She leaves five children from her first marriage.

_. Francis Esmond Baring, who died 19 July, 2020, aged 71, was a scion of the eponymous banking family, descended from the Ashburton branch of the family.

He was born 10 Oct, 1948, son of Simon Alexander Vivian Baring [1905-1962], by his 2nd wife the former Pamela Rachel Grant-Sturgis [died 1985].

He married in 1978, Nicolette Mary Irving Muntz [born 1951], daughter of Frederic Alan Irving Muntz, by his wife [nee Strickland], and by her had issue, a daughter, Sophia [born 1980], and a son, Simon [born 1983].

Franco Baring was a great-grandson of the 4th Baron Ashburton [1835-89].

_. David Lucien Dunn-Yarker, who has died in South Africa, was a scion of that landed gentry family, of Leyburn Hall, North Yorkshire. He was born in 1942, son of John Henry Dunn-Yarker, by his wife the former Elizabeth Adrienne Pinching, daughter of Sir Horace Pinching, KCMG.

He served as Vice Lord Lieutenant of Gwent, & was Inspector of Public Inquiries, 1983-98. MC [1957], OBE [1970], CB [1983].

He was born 28 June, 1928, a scion of the Napier baronets, son of Charles Macnaughton Napier [1896-1967], by his wife the former Dorothy Constance Hall-Dempster [died 1960].

He was a grandson of Lieutenant-Col Sir William Napier, 3rd Baronet [1867-1915], who was killed in action at Gallipoli.

He married 25 July, 1959, Jennifer Dawn Wilson, daughter of Basil Brees Wilson, by whom he had issue, a son, Philip, and two daughters, Joanna and Sally.
