The engagement was announced 11 October, 2025, between Henry Lyon Lakin (born 1991), scion of the Lakin baronets, younger son of Mark Philip Lakin (1941-2025), of Over Worton, Oxfordshire, and his wife the former Christina Lisa Josephine Dolan (born 1950); and Kinvara Mary Mactaggart (born 1992), daughter of Sir John Auld Mactaggart, 4th Baronet (born 1951), of Ardmore, Islay, and his second wife the former Caroline Emma Williams (born 1963).
