The engagement was announced 31 July, 2025, between James Hugh A. Roe (born 1996), the younger son of Alexander F.J. Roe, of Upper Farringdon, Hampshire and his late wife the former Caroline Jane Maltby (1957-2021), and Bonny Welcome Miller (born 1996), daughter of (James) Robert Miller, of Swerford, Oxfordshire, and his wife the former Amanda Susan Mary Lyon.
James Roe is descended from the Earls of Malmesbury:-
