The Hon Diana Lyall Hope, who died in Edinburgh, 12 January, 2025, was a daughter of the Baron Mackie of Benshie, CBE, DSO, DFC (1919-2015), and his first wife Lindsay Lyall Sharp; and married in 1968, John Carlyle Hope, by whom she had four daughters, Clementine, Sunnifa, Jessica and Arabella.
