Sir Martyn Evan Evans-Bevan, 2nd Baronet 1932-2024

Sir Martyn Evan Evans-Bevan, 2nd Baronet, died 5 November, 2024, aged 92.

The baronet, educated at Uppingham, entered the family business Evan Evans Bevan and Evans Bevan Ltd in 1953; and was High Sheriff of Breconshire  in 1967; Liveryman, Worshipful Company of Farmers; Freeman of the City of London. His home was Spring Valley, Rue de Creux, Baillot St Ouen, Jersey, Channel Islands.

He was born 1 April, 1932, son of Sir David Martyn Evans-Bevan, 1st Baronet (1902-1973), created a baronet in 1958, by his wife the former Eira Winifred Glanley (who died 2001); and succeeded to the baronetcy on his father's death, 9 September, 1973.

He married 12 October, 1957, Jennifer Jane Marion Stevens, daughter of Robert Hugh Stevens, by whom he had four sons, David, Richard, Thomas and Huw. The eldest son, David Gawain Evans-Bevan (born 16 September, 1961), succeeds as third baronet.
