Maj. Michael Arbuthnot Leslie Young, The Life Guards, died 4 December, 2024, aged 94. He was descended from the Arbuthnot baronets.
He was born 5 November, 1930, the son of Peter Leslie Young (1908-1970), and his first wife the former Pamela Clare Gaitskell (who died 1993); and married 2 April, 1966, Susanna Elizabeth Barclay (born 18 December, 1940), scion of that landed gentry family, daughter of Theodore David Barclay (1906-1981), head of that landed gentry family, and his wife the former Anne Millard Bennett (1912-1996), by whom he had a son, Christopher and daughter, Mary.
