The engagement was announced 7 December, 2024, between Capt Jamie Paul Roy (born 1993), Irish Guards, son of Paul D. Roy, of Windlesham, Surrey, and his wife the former Susan Elkies, and Camilla Rose (Millie) Bampfylde (born 1994), scion of the Barons Poltimore, daughter of Richard Ian David Bampfylde (born 3 July, 1953), of Inkpen, Berkshire, and his 2nd wife the former Charlotte Mary Christian (born 12 Apr, 1957).
Millie Bampfylde is a great-granddaughter of the 6th Baron Poltimore (1888-1978).
