The engagement was announced 17 June, 2023, between Charles Jack Benyon (born 1991), scion of the Shelley baronets, eldest son of Edward William Benyon (born 23 May, 1962), of Mortimer West End, Hampshire, and his former wife the former Karen E.M. (Katy) Crofts (now Mrs Katy Davis, of Fifehead Saint Quintin, Dorset), & Megan Elizabeth M. Townsend (born 1994), younger daughter of David W.W. Townsend of Loxwood, West Sussex, and his wife the former Rachel Stevenson.
