Prudence Baillie-Hamilton (nee Wykeham-Musgrave), who died 12 February, 2023, aged 91, was a scion of that landed gentry family; born in July, 1931, daughter of Commander Wenman Humfrey Wykeham-Musgrave, RN (1899-1989), head of that landed family, by his wife the former Elizabeth Ada Swift (1910-1998); and married 3 April, 1954, James Angus Buchanan-Baillie-Hamilton (1927-2011), scion of the Earls of Haddington, son of John Edmonstone Buchanan-Baillie-Hamilton (1874-1957), and his wife the former Bridget Everitt Baker (1891-1971), by whom she had issue, two sons, Charles (born 27 Aug 1957), and Simon (b 13 Aug 1963), and two daughters, Jane (b 14 July, 1955), and Sally (b 3 June, 1961).
