The Hon Diana Heimann, who died in Cape Town, 30 January, 2023, was a daughter of the Rt Hon Iain Macleod, MP, PC, briefly Chancellor of the Exchequer in the Heath administration in 1970.
Diana Hester Macleod was born in 1944, daughter of the Rt Hon Iain Norman Macleod (1913-70), who died in office at 11 Downing Street, by his wife the former Evelyn Hester Blois (1915-1999), scion of the Blois baronets, and a granddaughter maternally of the 3rd Baron Hampton. Following the death of her husband she was raised to the peerage for life as Baroness Macleod of Borve.
Diana Macleod married in 1968, David Heimann, by whom she had issue,
