Ann Bell-Irving [nee Weatherall] 1925-2021

 Ann Bell-Irving [nee Weatherall] who died 30 October, 2021, aged 95, was a scion of the Weatherall family, of the Jardine Matheson finance empire.

She was born 12 November, 1925, at Andover, Hampshire, daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel Nigel Edward Weatherall, OBE [1891-1962], and his wife the former Gladys Victoria Drabble [1897-1957]; and married in 1949, John Bell-Irving [1922-90], head of that landed gentry family, of Whitehill, by whom she had two sons, John [Robin] [born 1952], and the late Andrew [1955-2004].

Mrs Bell-Irving's brother, Capt Anthony Weatherall [1924-2013], of Cowhill, Dumfriesshire, was father of Catherine Weatherall [who married and divorced Sir Nicholas Soames], and Isobel, Countess of Strathmore & Kinghorne, first wife of the 18th Earl of Strathmore & Kinghorne, a cousin of the Queen.

A Service of Thanksgiving will be held at St. Mungo Church on 16 November, 2021.
