Capt Jeremy Chilton Dreyer, RN, LVO, died 11 July, 2021. He was a scion of the landed gentry family of that name, and a former assistant Clerk of the Course at Ascot Racecourse.
He was born in London in 1935, son of Admiral Sir Desmond Parry Dreyer, GCB, CBE, DSC, RN [1910-2003], former Second Sea Lord, Principal Naval ADC to the Queen, and Gentleman Usher to the Sword of State, and his first wife the former Elisabeth May Chilton [1908-58]; and married in 1960, Antoinette Marion [Toni] Cornwall-Stevens [born 1937], daughter of William Cornwall-Stevens [1903-83], and his wife the former Eileen Hollis Llewellyn [1905-66], by whom he had issue, two sons and two daughters.
He was appointed LVO in 1996.
