Elizabeth Buxton [nee Abernethy], who died at Witney, co Oxford, 23 August, 2019, was a daughter of Douglas Allan Abernethy, FRCS; she married 9 Oct, 1965, Hugh Lawrence Buxton [1936-2005], scion of the Buxton baronets, son of Philip Olaf Buxton [1906-78], by his wife the former Ruth Christian Lawrence [1904-76], by whom she had a son, Guy [born 1969], and two daughters, Belinda [born 1967], and Anne [Nancy] [born 1975]; a memorial service takes place at St Mary's Church, Swinbrook, 13 September, 2019.
