_. David Rudyerd Wynn-Williams, who died 12 September, 2019, aged 85, was the father of Virginia, Duchess of Roxburghe, who lost her husband the 10th Duke, on 29 August.
He was born in 1934, son of Derwas Douglas W. Wynn-Williams [1907-98], by his wife the former Marjorie B. Cox; and married firstly, Shirley P. Maltwood [later wife of Christopher Edwards], daughter of Ryder Gardyne Maltwood, by his wife the former Nancy Kathleen Lewis; married secondly, Susie ______. He leaves two daughters from his first marriage, Virginia [born 1963, who married, as his second wife, the 10th Duke of Roxburghe [[1954-2019]] ], and Alison [born 1965].
Private cremation followed by a Service of Thanksgiving and Celebration of his life at the Church of St Martin's of Tours, Martinstown, Dorset on 1 October, 2019.
