The engagement was announced 7 January, 2019 between Simon Archer Irvine-Fortescue (born 1988), scion of the Earls Fortescue, middle son of Major Grenville Irvine-Fortescue (born 1954), of the Lodge of Auchindoir, by his wife the former Virginia Townsend (born 1961), and Clare M.L. Power, daughter of Mr Jim Prower, of Lewes, East Sussex, by his wife Deirdre.
