_. Michael Wyndham Norton Hughes-Hallett, who died 13 December, 2014, aged 88, was a scion of that landed family, formerly of Higham. He was born 10 Nov, 1926, son of Lt-Col James Vavasour Hughes-Hallett (b 1899), by his wife the former Marjorie Collard; married 19 Oct, 1948, Penelope Anne, elder dau of Capt Sydney George Fairbairn, MC, of Patience Close, Steventon, Hampshire, by whom he had issue. __.Funeral at St Lawrence's Church, Barton on the Heath, 9 January, 2015.
