Gilbey/Hadsley-Chaplin marriage

__.The marriage took place in London, 14 January, 2014, followed by a blessing at St Mary's, Ascot, between James Newman Gilbey (born 4 Oct, 1956), scion of th Gilbey Baronets (Bt, UK, cr 1893), third son of Ralph Newman Gilbey, by his wife the former Barbara Scott, and Mrs Lavinia Hadsley-Chaplin. The Duke of Norfolk was best man. James Gilbey was the close friend of Diana, Princess of Wales, central figure in the Squidgygate Affair, re the pre-1990 telephone conversations between the princess and Mr Gilbey. During the calls Mr Gilbey refered to Diana as "Squidgy" or "Squidge" -=-
