Lady Drinkwater, who died 10 March, 2026, aged 92, was the widow of James Boscawen and Sir John Drinkwater, OBE, QC.
She was born Deirdre Elsie Elizabeth Curtis-Bennett, circa 1934, scion of that landed gentry family, daughter of Frederick Henry (Derek) Curtis-Bennett, QC (1904-1956), head of that family, and his 1st wife the former Margaret Duncan Mackintosh; & married 1stly, 24 February, 1955, James Townshend Boscawen (1932-1992), scion of the Viscounts Falmouth, son of Major John Percival Townshend Boscawen (1906-1972), and his wife Lady Mary Helen Alma Graham (1909-1999), daughter of the 6th Duke of Montrose (1878-1954); married 2ndly, 1998, Sir John Muir Drinkwater., OBE, QC (born 16 March, 1925, and died 13 August, 2019).
She leaves issue from her first marriage, Caroline (born 2 Nov, 1959), and Diana (born 14 July, 1962).
