The engagement was announced 28 December, 2024, between Anthony Basil Berkeley (born 1994), scion of that landed gentry family, younger son of Giles Robert Berkeley (born 19 January, 1959), of Ramsdean, Hampshire and his wife the former Alexandra Louise Love, & Anna M. McEvoy, elder daughter of Mr & Mrs David McEvoy, of Melbourne, Australia.
The Berkeleys of Spetchley are an ancient family, descended from Thomas Berkeley, fourth son of the 6th and 1st Lord Berkeley, by his second wife Isabel Mowbray, daughter and co-heir of Thomas Mowbray, 1st Duke of Norfolk.
