Kina-Maria, Baroness Avebury, who died 1 September, 2017, aged 82, was the first and former wife of the late 4th Baron Avebury (1928-2016).

She was born Kina Maria O'Kelly de Gallagh, 2 September, 1934, the only daughter of Count Joseph Henry O'Kelly de Gallagh KM, of 41 Roland Gardens, London, and married 2 September, 1953 (div. 1983), Eric Reginald Lubbock (born 29 September, 1928), scion of the Barons Avebury, son of the Hon Maurice Fox Pitt Lubbock (1900-1957), and his wife (and second cousin) the former Hon Mary Katherine Adelaide Stanley (1906-1981), 1st daughter of the 5th Baron Stanley of Alderley (1875-1931).

Her husband was victor in the famous Orpington by-election, and served as the Liberal Member of Parliament for Orpington from 1962 to 1970. He then served in the House of Lords, having succeeded his cousin the 3rd Baron Avebury, 21 June, 1971. When he died, 14 February, 2016, he was the longest serving Liberal Democrat peer.

Lady Avebury leaves issue, two sons, and a daughter. The elder son, Lyulph Ambrose Jonathan Lubbock is the 5th Baron Avebury (born 15 June, 1954).
