Michael Oliver Watson, who died 9 June, 2022, aged 95, was a scion of the Barons Manton [Peerage of the UK, cr 1922]. He was born 20 December, 1926, son of the Hon Alastair Joseph Watson [1901-55], and his wife the former Joan Cobbold [1902-88], scion of that landed gentry family; and married 7 December, 1950, Virginia Hoare[1927-2001], scion of that landed gentry family, by whom he had issie, two sons, Alastair [born 7 Nov, 1958], and George [born 16 Feb, 1962], and a daughter, Amanda [born 19 Dec, 1956].
Michael Watson was a grandson of the 1st Baron Manton [1873-1922].
