_. Susan Elizabeth Lea, who died 27 March, 2020, aged 95, was a scion of the Dorrien-Smith landed family. She was born 27 July, 1924, daughter of Major Edward Pendarves Dorrien-Smith [1879-1937], of Weir Point, Restronguet, Cornwall, by his wife the former Frances Amy Salvin Bowlby [b 1890], scion of that landed gentry family. She married 29 May, 1952, Judge Christopher Gerald Lea [1917-2006], son of George Percy Lea, of Franche, Kidderminster, Worcestershire, by whom she had issue, 2 sons, Charles and Piers, and a daughter, Antonia.
Mrs Lea was a descendant of the 1st Earl Brownlow.
