The engagement was announced 25 January, 2020, between Edward John Bowater Russell [born 1992], eldest son of William Anthony Bowater Russell [born 1965], Lord Mayor of London, of the Mansion House, London, & Thriplow, Cambridgeshire, by his wife the former Hilary Anne Chaplin [born 1965], & Emma McKinney Mactaggart [born 1994], scion of the Mactaggart baronets, younger daughter of Andrew Auld Mactaggart [born 1962], of Abaco, The Bahamas, and Kemble, co Gloucester, by his wife the former Barbara Bridges.
Edward Russell is a descendant of the Lord Russell of Killowen [Law Lord], and from the Bowater baronets. His father became Lord Mayor of London in November, 2019.
