_. Caroline, Baroness Brassey of Apethorpe, who died 27 August, 2019, aged 74, was the widow of the late 3rd Baron Brassey of Apethorpe, OBE, JP, DL [1932-2015].
She was the former Caroline Evill, third daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel Godfrey Evill, of Elm Park Gardens, London, by his wife the former Nesta Herbert [1910-2002], and married, 17 October, 1978, as his second wife, David Henry Brassey, 3rd Baron Brassey of Apethorpe, son of the 2nd Baron [1905-67] by his first wife the former Crystal Gloria Gore [died 1962], a granddaughter maternally of the 1st Earl Sondes, &c.
By her husband, who died in May 2015, she had two daughters, the Hon Zoe [born 1980], and the Hon Chloe [born 1982].
A Thanksgiving Service takes place at St Leonard's Church, Apethorpe, 20 September, 2019.
