The engagement was announced 6 December, 2018 between Major William E. Boyd-Thomas, The Blues and Royals, son of Mr Richard Boyd-Thomas, of Clifford Chambers, Warwickshire & Mrs Lisa Thomas, of Leyster, Herefordshire, & Letitia Jane Leigh-Pemberton (born 1989) scion of that landed gentry family, daughter of the Hon James Henry Leigh-Pemberton (born 1956) of Trewhitt, Northumberland, by his wife, the former Catarina Elizabeth Cowan.
The bride-to-be is a granddaughter of the late Baron Kingsdown, KG, PC (1926-2013), life peer, Governor of the Bank of England 1983-93.
