Colonel Granville Richard Chetwynd-Stapylton, who died 19 August 2006, at Brockhampton Court, Herefordshire, aged 96, was a scion of the Viscounts Chetwynd (Ireland, 1717). He was b. in 1909, son of Maj. Granville Joseph Chetwynd-Stapylton (b. 1871; killed in action 1914), by his wifeElizabeth Grace Lethbridge (who d. 1930); educated Charterhouse; Lieutenant-Colonel (retired), Somerset Light Infantry; married 1934, Emma Young, by whom he had issue. His funeral takes place in Herefordshire, 6 Sept, 2006.
