Anthea, Baroness Simon of Wythenshawe, who died 4 June, 2006, aged 83, was the widow of the 2nd Baron Simon of Wythenshawe.
Anthea Daphne May was born 19 October, 1922, daughter of Sidney George William May (1886-1977), of Milford-on-Seam Hampshire, and his wife the former Doris Tucker (1892-1967); and married 18 July, 1951, the then Hon Roger Simon (born 16 October, 1913), son and heir of the 1st Baron Simon of Wythenshawe (1879-1960), and his wife the former Shena Dorothy Potter (died 17 July, 1972).
Her husband succeeded his father, 3 October, 1960, as 2nd Baron Simon of Wythenshawe (Peerage of the UK, cr 1947), and died 14 October, 2001.
Lady Simon leaves a son, Matthew, 3rd Baron Simon of Wythenshawe (born 10 April, 1955), and a daughter, the Hon Margaret Simon (born 31 March, 1953).
