MR W.R.J. BECK AND MISS A.C. PHIPPS
The engagement was announced in Apr, 2006, between William R.J. Beck, son of the late Mr and Mrs Peter Beck, and Alice Christian Phipps (b. 25 Mar, 1969), daughter of the late (Charles) Nicholas Phipps (1925-2004), a grandson maternally of the 7th Duke of Buccleuch & Queensberry, KT, GCVO, & of Mrs Nicholas Phipps (nee Christian Fiona Mackenzie, b. 1941, a descendant of the Earls of Clanwilliam), of Douglas, Isle of Man.
The bride-to-be is a great-niece of the late Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester, and a niece of Flavia, Baroness Ebbisham, widow of the 2nd Baron, &c.
