Lady Iona is a granddaughter of the Prime Minister Sir Alec Douglas-Home, KT (aka the 14th Earl of Home (disclaimed) and later Baron Home of The Hirsel, and is a daughter of the 15th Earl and of Home & the Countess of Home, of The Hirsel, Coldstream, Berwickshire.

Princes William and Harry of Wales attended the Hewitt/Douglas-Home marriage some years back.

a Master of the Supreme Court, of Bramshott Grange, Liphook, Hants;
married 1940, Flt-Lieut. James Herbert Lonsdale Musker (b 1 Apr 1907;
d 1966), late the RAFVR, formerly of the 7th Hussars, scion of the LG
family of Musker, of Shadwell Park, son of Herbert Musker (1878-1947),
of Rushford Hall, Thetford, by his wife the former Nora Lonsdale Berry
(later, wife of Sir Egerton Hamond-Graeme, 5th Bart, & a niece of the
1st & last Baron Armaghdale). Rosemary Musker leaves a dau, Juliet
Alexandra Sarah, b 22 Aug 1941, wife of William Edward Barry, of the

Death of Sheela Mary Lindsay

_.Sheela Mary Lindsay (née FitzGerald), who died 5 February, 2010,
aged 74, was widow of David Claud Lindsay (1934-2002), scion of the
Earls of Crawford & Balcarres. She was the former Sheela Mary
FitzGerald, dau of Michael Edward FitzGerald, of Co Galway, and
married David Lindsay, 18 Nov, 1964. Her husband was a son of David
Edzell Thomas Lindsay (1910-68), by his 1st wife the former Kathleen
Green. David Lindsay's yr half-brother was Maj. Hugh Lindsay
(1953-88), sometime Equerry to HM The Queen, who died in an avalanche
at Klosters whilst skiing with the Prince of Wales. Mrs Lindsay leaves

Tom is 2nd son of Major Philip William Hope-Cobbold [b. 27 December, 1943], of Glemham Hall, Suffolk, by his 1st wife the former Antonia Jay Hutton-Potts (now Mrs Jay Hope-Johnstone of Linton,
Cambridgeshire). Tom's paternal grandfather was Maj. William Augustus Ludwig Vernon William Hope Johnstone, Grenadier Guards, [1914-93], who marr. Pamela Maud Cobbold [later Cadogan] [1920-94], and is a gt-grandson of Lt-Col Ivan Cobbold and his wife, the former Lady Blanche Cavendish; & is thus a gt-gt-grandson of the 9th Duke of Devonshire. Tom's paternal gt-grandfather George Granville Hope Johnstone who was
born in 1880, married Princess Marie-Luise zu Hohenlohe-Oehringen [1867-1945}. Philip Hope-Cobbold married [i] 1968, [div. 1984], (Antonia) Jay Hutton-Potts.

Death of the Dowager Duchess of St Albans

_.The Dowager Duchess of St Albans, author, artist and journalist, widow of Charles Frederic Aubrey de Vere Beauclerk, 13th Duke of St Albans (1915-88), died suddenly at her care home in Newbury on Friday 12 February 2010 aged 88 years. She was born Suzanne Marie-Adèle Fesq, circa 1921, dau. of Emile William Fesq, of Mas Mistral, Vence, France, and married the then Charles Beauclerk, as his 2nd wife, 19 Mar, 1947. Her husband succeeded to the dukedom (Peerage of England) on the demise of a cousin, 2 Mar, 1964, and died 8 Oct 1988, when he was succeeded by a son of his 1st marriage. The duchess leaves issue, viz: Lord Peter Charles de Vere Beauclerk (b. 13 Jan 1948); Lord James Charles Fesq de Vere Beauclerk (b. 6 Feb 1949); Lord John William Aubrey de Vere Beauclerk (b. 10 Feb 1950); Lady Caroline Anne de Vere
Beauclerk (b. 19 Jul 1951). She was predeceased by a daughter who died in infancy in 1963.

Canon Edwin David Bowser, was the Bishop's first wife and died in
1982. The Bishop married 2ndly in 1984 Diana, widow of Dr Arthur
Christopher Grey (scion of the Earls Grey) and, before that, widow of
Anthony Seymour Bellville (of the LG family of Bellville of Tedstone
Court). She was dau of Ewen Cameron Bruce (of the LG family Bruce of
Blaen-y-Cwm).

_.Priscilla Fryer, who died 5 February, 2010, aged 94, was a scion of the Egerton-Warburton family (see the Grey-Egerton Baronets), and was the widow of (1) Maj Tthe Viscount Wolmer (1912-42), son and heir of the 3rd Earl of Selborne, & (2) the 4th Baron Newton (1915-92), and was wife of Frederick Charles Horace Fryer. She was a dau of Capt John Egerton-Warburton, of Arley Hall, and married (i) 16 Jul 1936, Viscount Wolmer, who was killed in action in WW2; she married (ii) 6 Jul 1948, the 4th Baron Newton (d 1992), and married (iii) 1994, Frederick Fryer. Mrs Fryer leaves issue from her first 2 marriages including the 4th Earl of Selborne (b 24 Mar 1940), and the 5th Baron Newton (b 11 Jan 1950). Funeral at St Peter's, Bishop's Waltham, Wed 17 Feb, 2010, followed by burial at St Mary's, Disley.
