Kitty Eliza Gibson-Watt [born 2019]

_. Charlotte Lucy Gibson-Watt [born 1972, nee Tyson], wife of Anthony David Gibson-Watt [born 1975], scion of the Gibson-Watt baronets, gave birth to a daughter, Kitty Eliza, 2 May, 2019, a half-sister for Chiara Charlotte, who was born 2012.

Anthony Gibson-Watt is a grandson of the late life peer Baron Gibson-Watt [1918-2002]. He married firstly, in 2005, Alice Amaryllis Montagu Douglas Scott [1978-2012], scion of the Dukes of Buccleuch & Queensberry, by whom he had his daughter, Chiara.

Charlotte Gibson-Watt  is a daughter of Graham B.M. Tyson [born 1948], by his wife the former Sarah T. Bailey [b.1945].

Greville Adrian Cavendish 1925-2019

_. Greville Adrian Cavendish, who died 2 May, 2019, aged 93, was a scion of the Barons Chesham, and descended from the Dukes of Devonshire. He was born 22 December, 1925, son of Capt Evan George Charles Cavendish [1891-1955], by his wife the former Esme Frances Sylvia Smyth [1901-59], descended from the Barons Boston; he married 1stly, 9 Aug, 1952 [div 1974], Hazel Colleen Elizabeth May [she died 21 March, 2016]; married 2ndly, 1974, Gillian Webb [who died 10 Feb, 2018]. He leaves three children from his first marriage, two sons, Rupert and Piers, and a daughter, Kiloran.

A memorial service takes place at Sutton Montis Church, Friday 7 June, 2019.

A new playmate for George and Charlotte

_. Annabel Waley-Cohen [nee Ballin], wife of Sam Bernard Waley-Cohen (b 15 Apr 1982), scion of the Waley-Cohen Baronets (Bt UK, cr 1961), gave birth to a son, Alexander Samuel Bernard [Xander], 2 May, 2019, a brother for Maximilian Bertie Thomas, who was born 10 March, 2013, and for Scarlett Ophelia Grace, who was born 1 September, 2015.

Sam, the jockey, friend of the young royals, is a son of Robert Bernard Waley-Cohen (b 1948) by his wife the Hon Felicity Samuel, dau of the 3rd Viscount Bearsted & Annabel is a daughter of Bertie Ballin and his wife Serena.

The Duchess of Cambridge attended the Waley-Cohen's marriage in June 2011.

The Dowager Countess of Harrowby [died 2019]

_. The Dowager Countess of Harrowby, who died 1 May, 2019, was the second wife, and widow, of the 7th Earl of Harrowby [1922-2007].

She was Janet Mary Pierrette 'Janie' Stott, daughter of Alan Edward Stott 1910-90], by his wife the former Margarite Matie Maye Knowles [1911-57]; married firstly 1967, Gervase W.A. Boote, and had a son and two daughters; married secondly, 1990, Christopher B. Ellis; married thirdly 2003, as his second wife, Dudley Danvers Granville Coutts Ryder, 7th Earl of Harrowby. He died 9 Oct, 2007, aged 84.

Amara Jessica Talia Rodgers [born 2019]

_. Phoebe Victoria Rodgers [nee Dickinson, born 1984] wife of Luke Jonathan Rodgers [born Dec 1985] gave birth to a daughter, Amara Jessica Talia, 29 April, 2019, a sister for Indigo Octavia Elizabeth, who was born in 2016.

Luke Rodgers is a son of the British actor Anthony (Anton) Rodgers (1933-2007) and his 2nd wife the British actress Elizabeth Garvie (b 1957). He married in 2013 Phoebe Victoria, daughter of Simon Clervaux Dickinson (b 1948, scion of the CHAYTOR Bts of Croft, Yorks), & his 2nd wife the Hon Jessica Rosetta Mancroft (born  1954) daughter of 2nd Baron Mancroft.

George Peter Daniel Crisp 1993-2019

_.George Peter Daniel Crisp, who died suddenly on 19 April, 2019, aged 25, was the only son and heir of Sir John Crisp, 5th Baronet [born 1955], by his wife the former Mary MacAuley.

George Crisp was born 17 September, 1993.

Harriet Coupland is a daughter of Sir James Vernon, 5th Baronet [born 1949], of Holywell, Flintshire, by his wife the former Davinia Elizabeth Howard [born 1953], descended from the Viscounts Portman.

The Baroness Lockwood 1924-2019

_. The Baroness Lockwood, Labour life peer, sometime chairman of the Equal Opportunities Commission, died 29 April, 2019. She was 95.

Betty Lockwood was born 22 January, 1924, daughter of Arthur and Edith Lockwood, of Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.

She was created a life peer in 1978, as Baroness Lockwood, of Dewsbury, in the County of West Yorkshire; she chaired the Equal Opportunities Commission, 1975-83; was President of Birkbeck College, London, 1983-89; and was appointed a deputy Speaker of the House of Lords in 1989.

Betty Lockwood married in 1978, Lieutenant-Colonel Cedric Hall, who died in 1988.

He was born 19 August, 1999, son of Sir Aubrey, and his wife Lady Brocklebank [nee Hazel Catherine Roden].

Lady Linda Denise Vane Percy 1948-2019

_. The Lady Linda Vane Percy, who died 19 April, 2019, aged 70, was a member of the Grosvenor family, headed by the Croesus-rich Duke of Westminster.

Lady Linda was chatelsine of the 18th century Island Hall, in Godmanchester, ancestral seat of her husband.

She was born the Hon Linda Denise Grosvenor, 29 June, 1948, second daughter of Robert Egerton Grosvenor, 5th Baron Ebury [1914-57], by his second wife the Hon Denise Margaret Yarde-Buller [1916-2005], a daughter of the 3rd Baron Churston.

Her elder half-brother, the 6th Baron Ebury [born 1934], succeeded his fourth cousin, in 1999, as the Earl of Wilton, and she was later raised to the rank and precedence of the daughter of an Earl.

She married, 17 May, 1973, Christopher Vane Percy, by whom she had issue.

The funeral takes place at the Church of St Mary the Virgin, Godmanchester, 7 May, 2019.

Duchess of Cambridge receives wedding anniversary gift from Queen

The honour is in the Queen’s personal gift and has in the past been awarded to members of the royal family. Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother was a GCVO, as was Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon and her husband, the late Earl of Snowdon. The Duchess of Cornwall received the honour after seven years of marriage.

The Duchesses of Gloucester and Kent and the Countess of Wessex were similarly honoured by Her Majesty.

Of her male relations the GCVO is held by the Dukes of Gloucester and Kent and Prince Michael of Kent. The Duke of Edinburgh was admitted to the Order only recently. The Duke of Sussex is KCVO, a notch down in the Order.

The Duke of Cambridge, a Knight of the Garter, has yet to be admitted.

Neither the Prince of Wales or the late Diana, Princess of Wales were members of the Victorian Order.

When the Duke of Cambridge eventually ascends the throne he will most likely follow recent royal tradition and install Catherine as a Lady Companion of the Order of the Garter.

King Edward VII gave the Garter to Queen Alexandra, and in 1910 George V bestowed the honour on Queen Mary. Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother was made a Lady of the Garter when her husband King George VI succeeded his brother in 1936.

Sir Nigel Seely, 5th Baronet 1923-2019

_. Sir Nigel Seely, 5th Baronet, died 25 April, 2019. He was 95.

Sir Nigel worked for Dorland International.

Nigel Edward Seely was born 28 July, 1923, son of Sir Victor Seely, 4th Baronet [1900-80] by his first wife the former Sybil Gibbons [later Lady Paget of Northampton, died 1994]; educated at Stowe; succeeded to the baronetcy on his father’s death, 10 May, 1980; married firstly, 1949, Loraine Lindley-Travis, by whom he had three daughters; married secondly, Trudi Pacter.

Sir Nigel is survived by his second wife and his daughters.

The funeral takes place at St James’s Church, Sussex Gardens, 8 May, 2019.

he engagement was announced 27 April, 2019, between Captain Alexander James Kirkland Wilson [born 1991], Grenadier Guards, descended from the Earls of Longford, son of Mr and Mrs Henry Wilson, of Penley, Wrexham, and the Lady Helena Georgia Parker [born 1991] third and youngest daughter of the 7th Earl of Morley [born 22 Aug 1956], and the Countess of Morley [nee Carolyn McVicar].

_. Amelia Christiana Mary Sherwin [nee Rhodes, born 7 January, 1990], wife of Mark Sherwin, and descended from the Towneleys of Towneley Hall, gave birth to a daughter, Phoebe Polly Elsie, in Leeds, West Yorkshire, 27 April, 2019, a sister for Sebastian and Oscar.

_. Lucy Camilla Anne Friend [born 1982, nee Milburn], scion of the Milburn baronets, and wife of Ian Latimer Friend [born 1982], gave birth to a son Wilbur Anthony Howard Latimer, 24 April, 2019, a brother for Sophia Jean Acacia, who was born in 2015.

Ian Friend is a son of Dr Howard Friend. He married in 2014, Lucy Milburn, daughter of Sir Anthony Milburn, 5th Baronet [born 1947], by his wife the former Olivia Shirley Catlow.

 Sally Evans-Freke [nee Trethewie], wife of Charles William Anthony Evans-Freke (b 1981), scion of the Barons Carbery, gave birth to a son, Hamish John Richard, 23 April, 2019, a brother for Alice Margaret Lois, who was born in Singapore, 16 September, 2016.

Charlie Evans-Freke is a son of the Hon John Anthony Evans-Freke (b 1949) son of the 11th Baron Carbery (1920-2012), and his wife the former Veronica Jane Williams, daughter of Maj Eric Williams, of  Lynturk, Alford,  Aberdeenshire.

Sally Evans-Freke is the elder daughter of Mr Richard Trethewie, of Launceston, Tasmania, and Mrs James Davidson, of Melbourne, Victoria.
