Grace Iola Lawson Johnston

Christabel Lawson Johnston (b. 1981, nee Brudenell-Bruce), wife of Edward P. Lawson Johnston (b. 1979), gave birth to a daughter, Grace Iola, 5 June, 2006.
Edward Lawson Johnston is a scion of the Barons Luke (created 1929), twin son of the Hon. Philip Richard Lawson Johnston (b. 1950), by his wife the former Saskia Moyne Andrews, & Mrs Lawson Johnston is the formefr Christabel Marie-Jeanne Brudenell-Bruce, scion of the Marquesses of Ailesbury, daughter of Andrew Robert Joel Brudenell-Bruce (b. 1951), by his wife, the former Sophie Inch.
Edward Lawson Johnston is a grandson of the late 2nd Baron Luke, KCVO.

Mac Pilkington

Candida S. Pilkington (nee Thring) wife of David Christopher Pilkington [b. 1963], gave birth to a son, Mac, 30 May, 2006, a brother for Sky Davina, who was b. 29 May, 2004.
David Pilkington is the second son of Sir Antony Richard Pilkington, Kt [of the family of Pilkington of Windle Hall], by his wife, the former Alice Kirsty Dundas, & Candida is the younger daughter of Mr & Mrs Jeremy Thring, of Bradford-on-Avon, Wilts.
David Pilkington is a grandson maternally of Sir Thomas Calderwood Dundas, of Arniston, 7th and last Baronet.

Nina Rose Greenall

Laura Greenall, wife of the Hon. John Edward ( Johnny) Greenall, yr son of the 3rd Baron Daresbury, gave birth to a daughter, Nina Rose, 21 June, 2006, at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, a sister for unknown boy Greenall, b. 18 June, 2001, and for Martha Anne, who was b. 10 February, 2004.Laura Greenall is the only daughter of the late Nicholas [Nico] Collin, of Whytherstone House, Pockley, York, by his 2nd wife the former Lady Clarissa Duncombe (b. 1938), only daughter of the 3rd and last Earl of Feversham(1906-63), by his wife the former Lady Anne Dorothy Wood, daughter of the 1st Earl of Halifax. Johnny Greenall's first wife, Gabrielle, stood sponsor at the christening of Princess Eugenie of York in 1990.

Baron Rawlinson of Ewell, PC, QC

The Baron Rawlinson of Ewell, PC, QC, who died 28 June, 2006, aged 87, was, as Peter Rawlinson, Conservative MP for Epsom, 1955-74 & for Epsom and Ewell, 1974-78, and was Solicitor General, 1962-64, Attorney-General, 1970-74. He was b. 26 June, 1919, son of Lt-Col Arthur Richard Rawlinson, OBE (d. 1984), of Ferring, Sussex, descended from the Grayson Baronets; married (1) 1940 (div 1954) (marriage later annulled by Sacred Rota, Rome), Haidee, daughter of Gerald Kavanagh; (2) 1954, his kinswoman Elaine Angela Dominguez, also descended from the Grayson Barts, daughter of Vincent Luis Dominguez, of Rhode Island, USA, & had issue from both unions. His grandson, Luke Irwin married Alice Elliot, niece of HRH The Duchess of Cornwall.

2nd Viscount Monckton of Brenchley, CB, OBE, MC (1915-2006)

Major-General the 2nd Viscount Monckton of Brenchley, CB, OBE, MC, died at his home, 22 June, 2006. He was 90. Gilbert Walter Riversdale Monckton was b. 3 Nov, 1915, son of the 1st Viscount (aka Sir Walter Monckton, GCVO, KCMG, MC, PC, QC) sometime Attorney-General to the Duchy of Cornwall, a great friend and adviser to Edward VIII (afterwards Duke of Windsor), Tory MP, and Minister of Defence and Paymaster General in the 1950s; by his 1st wife Mary Adelaide Somes Colyer-Ferguson, of the Colyer-Ferguson Baronets. He was educated at Harrow and Trinity College, Cambridge; Career:- Major-Gen (retired), late the 12th Royal Lancers, formerly 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards; Colonel 9/12th Royal Lancers 1967-73; Hon Colonel, Kent and Sharpshooters Yeomanry 1974-79; Deputy Chairman, Gulf Gaurantee Bank; Director of Public Relations, War Office, 1960-65, and Chief of Staff, HQ BAOR, 1965-67; President, Kent Association of Boys' Clubs, 1965-78; President, Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies since 1965; Deputy Lieutenant for Kent; Bailiff Grand Cross of Obedience Sovereign Military Order of Malta and KStJ (Chairman of the Council of the Order of St John for Kent 1969-75); Grand Officer of the Order of Leopold II; Cdr Order of the Crown of Belgium; Bailiff Grand Cross of Justice Constantinian Order of St George; OBE (Mil) 1956; CB (Mil) 1966; succeeded to the viscountcy (created in 1957) on the demise of his father, 1965; married 1950, Marianna Laetitia, daughter of Cdr Robert Tatton Bower, RN, descended from the Baron Strickland (ext.)., by whom he had issue, sons, Christopher, Timothy, Jonathan and Anthony, and daughter Rosamond, wife of the Hon Dominic Lawson (son of the life peer Baron Lawson of Blaby). Rosamond Monckton was a great friend of Diana, Princess of Wales. The peerage now devolves upon his eldest son, the Hon Christopher Walter Monckton, b. 14 Feb, 1952. The funeral is at All Saints Church, Brenchley, 30 June, 2006.

JH Bruce-Lockhart was a brother of Sir Robert Hamilton Bruce-Lockhart,KCMG (1943), author, broadcaster, journalist & diplomat, b. 2 Sept 1887; died at Hove, Sussex, 27 Feb 1973, aged 82 (Source Yorkshire Post 28 Feb 1973), author of Memoirs of a British Agent, married (i) 1913 (div 1938), Jean Haslewood Turner, daughter of Leonard Turner, of Kinellan, Brisbane, Australia; married (ii) 1948, Frances Mary, daughter of Major-General E.A. Beck. Lord Bruce-Lockhart's great-grandfather was R. Bruce-Lockhart, of Eagle House, Sandhurst, Berks, by his wife Florence Stuart Macgregor.
