George Robert Heneage, who died 28 September, 2024, aged 95, was a scion of that family now headed by the Baron Heneage. He was born 11 February, 1929, third son of Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Arthur Pelham Heneage, DSO (1881-1971), the Conservative party politician, and his wife the former Anne Findley (1892-1982); married 20 January, 1962, Janet Cole, daughter of Capt A.V. Cole, by whom he had issue, a daughter, Henrietta (born 1965).
George's descent from the 3rd Earl of Derwentwater,who participated in the Jacobite rising of 1715 and was executed for high treason. :-
