The engagement was announced 27 June, 2019, between George Edward Stacpoole, Marquis de Stacpoole [born 1983], son of George Richard Derek Andrew Stacpoole, 7th Duc de Stacpoole [born 1948], of Roundstone, Ireland, by his former wife the former Anne L Duxbury [now Mrs Patrick Creasy, of Ludlow, Shropshire], and Amelia H.E. Smith, daughter of Mr & Mrs Michael Forbes Smith, of Earnley, Sussex.
The de Stacpooles are an Irish landed gentry family, whose head is the Duke and Marquis de Stacpoole in the Papal States.
