_.Henry Herbert Kitchener, 3rd & last Earl Kitchener of Khartoum, died 16 December, 2011, at the age of 92. He was born 24 Feb 1919, elder son of Capt Henry Franklin Chevallier Kitchener, RN, styled Viscount Broome [1878-1928] by his wife the former Adela Mary Evelyn Monins, and succeeded to the peerages on the demise of his grandfather, 27 March, 1937. Unmarried. Downton Abbey writer Lord Fellowes of West Stafford [lifer] is married to Emma Kitchener, LVO, the late peer's niece.
