The engagement is announced in March, 2006, between Rupert W. Elwes, scion of that BLG family, elder son of Mr and Mrs Christopher Elwes, of Compton, Berkshire, and Melanie T. Kantorowicz, elder daughter of Mr Donald Kantorowicz-Toro, of Chelsea, London, and Mrs Chantal Lancrenon, of Paris, France.
