Janet Mary Baroness Deramore c1916-2013

_.Janet Mary, Baroness Deramore, who died 4 July, 2013, aged 97, was the wife of Richard Arthur de Yarburgh-Bateson, 6th (and last) Baron Deramore. She was the former Janet Mary Ware, who served as 3rd Officer, WRNS in the Second World War, a daughter of John Ware, MD, of Nether Close, Askham-in-Furness, and married the then Mr de Yarburgh-Bateson in 1948. They had an only child, a daughter. Her husband succeeded his brother, 23 Dec, 1964 as 6th holder of the peerage (B cr UK, 1885; Bt cr 1818). The family home for many years was at Heslington House, Aislaby, Pickering, North Yorkshire. Her husband died 20 Aug, 2006, when the peerage & baronetcy became extinct. Lady Deramore is survived by her dau, Ann Katharine, who was born in 1950. The funeral takes place at Banbury Crematorium, 15 Jul, 2013. -=-
