Rhodri (Roddy) Gruffudd Jones

.— Emma Gruffudd Jones (née Barttelot) wife of Freddie N. Gruffudd Jones, gave birth to a son, Rhodri (Roddy), 11 February, 2012, a brother for Edward (Ned) Huw, who was b 18 Oct 2009. Freddie is the younger son of Mr and Mrs Dafydd Gruffudd Jones, of Anglesey, and Emma is the youngest daughter of Col Sir Brian Walter De Stopham Barttelot, OBE, 5th Baronet (b 17 Jul 1941), of Stopham, Pulborough, Sussex, by his wife the former Hon (Mary Angela) Fiona Weld-Forester (b 1944), yst dau of the late 7th Baron Forester (1899-1977).

Simon Mark Noel Ponsonby (1961-2012)

Simon Mark Noel Ponsonby, who died 14 February, 2012, aged 50, was distantly related to the Earls of Bessborough. He was born in 1961, the son of Commander Francis Ponsonby, LVO, OBE, RN (1932-2003) by his former wife the former Sally Cocup.

Simon's paternal grandfather was Gilbert Jocelyn Ponsonby (b 4 May 1904), who was a son of the Rev. Stewart Gordon Ponsonby (1856-1938), who married in 1889, Mary Catherine Buxton (1870-1960), dau of Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton, 3rd Baronet (1837-1915), by his wife the former Lady Victoria Noel, daughter of the 1st Earl of Gainsborough, &c.

The Ponsonby line here stems from John Ponsonby, a brother of William 1st Baron Bessborough.

Victoria Lady Heathcote (c1937-2012)

_Victoria Lady Heathcote, who died in Hampshire, 7 February, 2012, aged 74, was the widow of Sir Michael Perryman Heathcote, 11th Baronet (1927-2007). She was the former Victoria Wilford, daughter of Commander James Edward Rickards Wilford, RNR, of Lymington, Hants, and married Sir Michael in 1956. Her husband died 13 Apr 2007. She leaves issue. Her elder son is Sir Timothy Gilbert Heathcote, 12th Baronet. -==-
