Lady Alleyne, who died 15 October, 2026, aged 86, was the wife of the Rev Sir John Olpherts Campbell Alleyne, 5th Baronet.
She was born Honor Emily Margaret Irwin, daughter of Albert William Irwin, of Linkview Park, Upper Malone, Belfast.
She married 28 September, 1968, Rev John Olpherts Campbell Alleyne (born 18 January, 1928), sometime Chaplain of Clare College, Cambridge, and vicar of Speke, Lancashire, son of Capt Sir John Meynell Alleyne, 4th Baronet, DSO, DSC (1889-1983), and his wife the former Alice Violet Campbell (who died 1985).
Her husband succeeded to the baronetcy upon the death of his father, 17 December, 1983.
The baronetcy, of Four Hills in Barbados, is a title in the Baronetage of Great Britain. The Alleyne family (like the Clement family, Codrington family, Drax family, and Terrill family) were amongst the 17th century colonisers of Barbados, but their Baronetage was created only on 6 April 1769 for John Alleyne who was a Barbadian politician and Speaker of the House of Assembly of Barbados from 1767 to 1797 except for a short period during 1771 and 1772.
Lady Alleyne is survived by her husband, and a son, Richard Meynell Alleyne (born 23 June, 1972), and a daughter, Clare (born 26 Oct, 1969).
