Stephen Elliott Allday, who died 15 April, 2024, aged 83, was head of that landed gentry family.
He was born 12 April, 1941, the only son of Colonel Frank Elliott Allday (1911-70), CBE, TD, DL of the Old Manor House, Halford Warwickshire, head of the landed family, by his wife the former Agnete Kuhn (1909-2011), youngest daughter of Overretssagforer Christian Frederick Kuhn, of Sobakke, Hunleback, Denmark.
He married January, 1967, Sara E.F. McConnel (deceased), by whom he had a son, James William E. Allday (born January, 1968), who married 2000, Charlotte E. Reid-Thomas. He also leaves a granddaughter, Chloe Isabella Allday (born 2004).
He was a brother of Mrs Robin Benson, a long serving Extra Lady-in-Waiting to the late Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon.
