Sir William Daniel Stuart-Forbes, 13th Baronet, died at Marlborough, New Zealand, 17 April, 2024. He was 88.
He was born 21 August, 1935, the son of William Kenneth Stuart-Forbes (1906-1946), and his wife the former Marjory Gilchrist, and was a grandson of Sir Charles Hay Hepburn Stuart-Forbes, 10th Bt (1871-1927), and a nephew of Sir High Stuart-Forbes, 11th Bt (1896-1937), and Sir Charles Edward Stuart-Forbes, 12th Bt (1903-85). He succeeded to the baronetcy (Nova Scotia, cr 30 Mar 1626), on his uncle's death in 1985.
He was twice wed, firstly in 1956 to Jannette MacDonald (who died in 1997), and secondly, in 2001, to Mrs Betty Dawn Ward (nee Gibson) (she died in 2021).
From his first marriage he leaves three sons, Kenneth, Daniel and Reginald, and two daughters, Catherine and Eileen. The eldest son, Kenneth Charles (born 26 Dec, 1956), succeeds as 14th Baronet.
