The Lady Jean Fforde, who died 13 October, 2017, aged 96, was a scion of the Dukes of Montrose, born in 1920, as Lady Jean Sybil Violet Graham, dau of the 6th Duke of Montrose (1878-1954), by his wife the former Lady Mary Louise Douglas-Hamilton (1884-1957), scion of the Dukes of Hamilton; married 1947 (div 1957)Col John Patrick Ilbert Fforde, CBE (1910-93), by wehom she had issue, one son, Charles John Graham Fforde, born 1948.
