_. The Hon Sir Clive Bossom, who died at his home in Sussex, 8th March, 2017, aged 99, was the Conservative MP for the Leominster Division of Herefordshire, 1959-Feb 1974, and served in the governments of Harold Macmillan and Sir Alec Douglas-Home.
He was born 4 Feb 1918, son of Sir Alfred Bossom, 1st Baronet (cr 1953), who was later ennobled as a life peer in 1960 as Baron Bossom, by his first wife the former Emily Bayne (who was killed in an air crash in 1932).
Educated at Eton; served as a Major in The Buffs, and in the War 1939-45; succeeded to his father's baronetcy, 4 Sept, 1965; married 28 Sept, 1951, Lady Barbara North, elder daughter of the late Lord North and sister of the 9th Earl of Guilford, by whom he had issue, three sons and a daughter.
Sir Clive is succeeded in the baronetcy by his eldest son, Bruce, who was born 22 Aug, 1952.
