Sarah Anne Staples 1951-2014

_. Sarah Anne Staples, who died at Swindon, 3 December, 2014, aged 63, was the sister of Capt Mark Phillips, first husband of the Princess Royal, and a descendant of the Tiarks landed family, formerly of Foxbury.

She was born Sarah Anne Phillips, 25 March, 1951, only daughter of Maj Peter William Garside Phillips, MC (1920-98), by his wife the former Anne Patricia Tiarks (1926-88), and married 9 May, 1981, Francis A. (Frank) Staples, son of Maj A.J. Staples.. No issue of the marriage.
