The engagement was announced 15 April, 2023, between Frederick Humphrey Joseph Weld (born 1994), the elder son and heir of Charles Humphrey Joseph Weld (born 19 March, 1949), head of that landed gentry family of Chideock, by his wife the former Georgina Helen Dashwood (born 22 January, 1960), scion of the Dashwood baronets, & Lucy Rosanna Hawley (born 18 February, 1994), a daughter of Charles John Hawley (born 1965), by his wife the former Victoria Louise Prideaux (born 26 May, 1967), scion of that landed gentry family.
