Richard Patrick Maitland-Heriot, who died in a motorcycle accident, 10 November, 2016, aged 60, was a scion of the Earls of Lauderdale.
He was born 5 February, 1956, the elder son of Ralph Desmond Maitland-Heriot (born 18 February, 1930), and his wife the former Annesley Moira Atkinson. He married and divorced Angeles Fernandez Castro, by whom he had issue, twin daughters, Constanza and Cecilia, born 21 April, 1986.
